Livin' la vida Modern...

Nowadays livin' la vida modern is a matter of fact, you know, nothing special. We've actually made it a 'thing' to stay with the times and keep up with 'these kids'; I KNOW I'm not the only one with a TikTok 'drafts' library. Fun fact, I don't think many of us are ready to join the realm of 'ol' school' mindsets that I'm sure we've commented on our parents or grandparents having.

Don't get me wrong, growing up in the 80's/90's I'm not sure anymore where we fall on the Generational tagline spectrum. Are we Gen-X? Millennials? Xennials? Elder-Millennials? ay, no se que busti-de-la-caca (iykyk) whatever I am, I know I can't be the only one confused by that but holding steadfast to knowing that I still get a little offended to be grouped with some of these youngins' that likely think a 'Latch-Key Kid" was some sort of doll 🤨. Ugh, focus T, because that's a whole other topic to be explored.

So basically, yeah, this blog is going to be my attempt at learning some of these new trends and ways of life, while trying to hold on to some of the habits and traditions I grew up with and try not to get too discouraged by all the changes. Kind of like hearing they are going to remake that movie you refuse to believe came out 20 years ago, getting super excited because you know it word for word, and see girls today still using its catchphrases, only to learn the remake is a musical....😳- yeah, that part.

I want to see what parts of OUR generation not only survive the test of time but thrive amidst all the shenanigans of this country and world. So whether it's traveling to new places surrounded by naysayers of where you should or shouldn't go. Being relatively young semi-empty nesters attempting to embrace the level-up into being grown with mostly grown kids and realizing your parents weren't as weird as you thought... most of the time. Or simply trying to recreate the nostalgia of my childhood or family traditions with a twist for today's fast-paced days/nights. This will be my exploration of what and where it may take me. At the very least it could be a fun way to document highlights of the past couple of years and those to come, so wish me luck!🍀
